Based on Tom Clancy's bestseller, directed by John McTiernan (Die Hard) and starring Sean Connery and Alec Baldwin, The Hunt For Red October seethes with high-tech excitement and sweats with the tension of men who hold Doomsday in their hands. A new technologically superior Soviet nuclear sub, the Red October, is heading for the U.S. coast under the command of Captain Marko Ramius (Connery). The American government thinks Ramius is planning to attack. A lone CIA analyst (Baldwin) has a different idea: he thinks Ramius is planning to defect, but he has only a few hours to find him and prove it - because the entire Russian naval and air commands are trying to find him, too. The hunt is on!

The entire Jack Ryan series is probably amazing for sleep but the best is the "Jim Ryan" TV series with the dopey guy from The Office. Never got past the third episode, out like a frigging light; this has been going on for almost a year now. I turn it on and my brain turns off.

On the strength of Qs "recommendation", I did manage to successfully watch The Hunt for Red October. I am quite the fan of Connery but it took me 3 tries. Then, I realized that it was a series. As an insomniac of 40 years, this is a gold mine.

I tried to watch the next movie, Patriot Games with the filthy jewish actor, Harrison Ford. After 20 minutes, I was on another planet, woke up 5 hours later. Absolutely brilliant.

It's like my brain just goes "yep, we don't need this shit" and turns right the fuck off. It's an idealized boomer wet dream view of the world.

Getting back to The Hunt for Red October, you've got the quintessential "smart black guy who won't shut up about Mozart" archetype. We've all met black guys like that, "you practically have to stay indoors to avoid them". That's a little Russia House reference for you there; told you, I'm a Connery fan.

Wherever you go, intelligent black men (lol) can't seem to shut up about Mozart. Also, Mozart was black and he invented the telescope. If you disagree, you should lose your job because your boss is always a nigger. He deserves it because your grandaddy made his grandaddy work.

Where would us backward white folks be without these niggers to tell us "what's what"? We're just jealous because they're all so fucking smart. lol

I watched the first season of Jack Ryan. It was okay. The casting of Office guy didn't work at all.

It was a steaming pile of nigger loving, muzzie hugging, boomer, feminist, horseshit propaganda, like everything is these days.

The one who plays his "epidemiologist" (lol) girlfriend has shitty, thinning hair and a punchable, fat face.

They should have cast Dwight as a villain and Stanley as Jim's fat, diabetic, sickle cell, nigger boss. Then Pam could be his meh girlfriend.

They should have just done Threat Level: Midnight. I'd pay to see that. lol

I've always liked this movie.

I won't watch this on principle. I find it strange that it's offered up for "free" after the whole Alec Baldwin killing somebody thing. Normalizing. Deflecting. I don't know. It's all propaganda meant to elicit a conditioned response.

That makes even more important to watch.
