Supermarket chain Kroger announced Tuesday it will eliminate paid emergency leave for unvaccinated employees who contract COVID-19 in addition to requiring some of them to pay a monthly $50 health insurance surcharge starting in 2022, according to a company memo.

The country’s largest supermarket chain, which employs roughly 465,000 workers, issued an internal company memo announcing the changes, which will start on Jan. 1, a company spokesperson told the Daily Caller News Foundation. Kroger is tightening their COVID-19 related policies as U.S. businesses face uncertainty over President Joe Biden’s recent federal vaccination mandate.

Sadly, Kroger and Walmart are the only options for groceries in my area. I chose Kroger as the lesser evil.

So how about a compromise? Do your regular shopping as usual; then also make a trip at another time, wearing a mask and glasses and a hat, load up your cart with a shit load of frozen/refridgerated stuffs, walk around for a bit to thaw some, and then go check out. Once at the register, ask "hey didnt you guys strip the unvaxxed of their benies?" In a way that makes ut seem like you support it, then just say "oh, wow. Nevermind" and just leave all the shit right on the checkout belt and walk out.

I doubt you are telling the truth. Look at farmers' markets, independent grocers, local butchers, and so on.

exactly. If both of these evil empires are open beside each other they're in a big enough area to find smaller and independent options.
