Not after what I saw last year. "Americans" ain't what they used to be, or at least, what we imagined them to be. People have wandered too far to the "safety" side of the liberty vs. safety spectrum.
Keep in mind that the American public that you know is what is presented on the TV. Unless you've been around the country and interacted with lots of people you might be getting gas lit.
I haven't seen crowds of people out protesting demanding people get vaccinated. I do know a lot of people that have been vaccinated, but you can tell they are only doing it because they are being told by an authority, not because they believe in it. They might virtue signal a bit, but without the coercion, they probably wouldn't be lining up to be vaccinated. It's a weak, passive participation. Once they start seeing vaccinated people they know drop dead they will snap out of it.

When the "other side" dwindle below 20% it gets really difficult and you are marginalized
Unless you have a VERY strong loyal racist (only some people are in that net) social net, you have a CLEAR goal and are reasonably smart
