I take it you haven't figured out we already live in a digital USD world, with all of the social credit score fixings. I don't even know if XRP can do smart contracts, frankly. If it can't, then I see it as already being deprecated.
It can do everything. It's the one they are hiding and beating up, but it will be King eventually, as it's interoperable with anything. It's a value transfer technology. It destroys the current nostro/vostro financial system. There is no escaping the new system. Start buying physical gold and silver, and land.
