I recall the charity was originally set up to 'Fund Kyles defense to pay for his Legal representation', then when lin and the other guy fcked up Kyles extradition paper work (cause they weren't criminal defense lawyers and knew next to nothing about filing the necessary paperwork to prevent extradition), kyle was slapped with the $2 million bail fee. According to his mother they didn't want to use the money for his bail (at that time the fund was nowhere near $2mill) - they stipulated it was to fund their defense work and she had no say on how the money for kyles defense was able to be spent, consequently she ended up getting lumped with another shark - the David Hancock guy that's sounds like a real shitbag too.
