Several times in the past Trump talked about Milley leaving all our shit in Afghanistan.
He could have been talking about Austin or any one of those Pentagon generals.
Even if it was Milley he was referring to, I suspect there could be some optics going on there. I try to pay close attention to what he says about Milley and what Milley has said/done that has caused people to question his integrity, and that's what I see. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm trying to be careful to keep from drawing conclusions that are based on what might be purposeful deceptions. He did this with Jeff Sessions and a few others to control the reactions of bad actors and lead them into taking certain actions and thinking he's weak.
