I received a strange call Friday from a company saying they were working with my Insurance company. They said they were testing for cardiac genwtic abnormalities and would like to send a swab. I have not been teated for Covid, obviously never taken the jab. I told the lady not thanks and quickly called my Insurance company and they said they knew of no such program????

Perhaps the person at the insurance company was misinformed, but the whole thing seemed REALLY strange. Anyone else receive a similar call?

You just gave away information that can be used to correlate with other data to identify you or at least narrow down the potential set of matches for you. It's no wonder why you would be targeted for such scams if you freely give strangers your information. With the right social engineering, you could be manipulated into giving out much more information that could be highly detrimental to your privacy and/or safety. Don't give away even the smallest bits of information to anyone on the internet, who calls you or sends you emails or texts. You failed this time. Learn from this failure.
