The bridges in question are low because they are made of stone to keep in character with the scenic nature of the parkways in New York State. (some of those parkways, by the way, don't go anywhere near beaches). The parkways are landscaped so that it looks like you are driving through an actual park. To tear down the stone bridges and replace them with large steel bridges will not only waste billions, it will also destroy these scenic roads and replace them with ugly urbanized commercial highways, and THAT IS THE ENTIRE POINT. COMMUNISTS DELIBERATELY DESTROY ANYTHING GOOD OR BEAUTIFUL.
