100% agree. We could do a much better job of supporting each other than we're doing.
I trust no one anymore. I don't like this feeling.
I get it - it's hard when you WANT to trust people, when you WANT to believe that people will do the right thing - and then you find out that you can not and they will not. It's heartbreaking. And when we have skirmishes with people we know are on our team, it makes it even worse. We all need to give each other breaks right now. Not to be weird, but consider yourself hugged - there's strength in unity.
You are most welcome. A quote came to mind: "Fear is the mindkiller." I believe it is from Dune, which i read decades ago.
Only in Christ Jesus am i able to have hope for our future, and Jeremiah 29:11 comes to mind. Then i flip fhose numbers to Hebrews 11:29. For your edification, check it out.
We cannot trust in a world system. We can trust that God will provide us the means to get through it, even when we cant wrap our minds or emotions around it.
I encourage people to live locally the life they want to see in our Nation. Be the example that so many are failing to be, especially in leadership. To simply be the one sane person on the block, at your job, in your family even. He will help us.
What we are seeing and even experiencing is no surprise, really. 1 Peter 4:12 "“Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.”
It often does not "feel good". The adversary will exploit how you feel. Consider those things which can bring hope, regardless of how it collapses around us. One day this will all be gone, and then where will you be? For a believer that is the most uplifting real hope of all. Hope that WILL come to pass. It is a promise.
Godspeed.
