As someone who was/is involved - it's over. The way the AZ info was presented killed any chance of anyone listening to us or taking this seriously. I get a LOT of shit for criticizing the people involved in things like this but they ALWAYS fuck it up. Always. I caught flak for saying Powell and Rudy were making amateur mistakes but guess what? I was right. The symposium WAS a disaster, the report from AZ WAS a disaster - it's almost as if no one on the right knows how to *actually do anything right*. Mediocre lawyers, info presented in the worst way possible, well-meaning people like MTG coming across like a loon, etc. But what kills us the most is US. We follow the dumbest shit right off a cliff and destroy ALL of our credibility. People like the ones who pulled off the Benghazi whistleblower scam should be shamed and ridiculed and never listened to again. But nope. Right back on to patriot podcasts they go, and generating attention on twatter. People who told us "so-and-so" has been arrested already! People who think everyone with a cast or boot has an ankle monitor. People who tell us clones can come out of a pod as a fully formed adult, or that Biden's XO's were fake because they were "blank", or that he has never been on AF1, or any of the (literally) thousands of other batches of nonsense that fills the right wing conversation. We did this to ourselves, did the media's job for them, and made it easy for libs to steamroll us. We get grifted by hacks like Lin Wood who is either lying about the mountain of proof he has or has been sitting on it for years while children he could save are getting raped to death. *How do you think it looks to people when we kiss the ass of a fraud like Lin Wood?* People STILL defend him! It's astonishing.
