That's less than inflation. So really, they're getting a cut in benefits.
Their will probley be a Medicare increase to wipe it out.

Don't forget, you get taxed on those "benefits". The irony is, as the treasury increases payouts, they increase the economy with currency, exacerbating inflation. That also increases retail prices. But hey, Keynesian economics works.
