It will be interesting to see if Goog or Twitter gets taken offline in the near future.

Facebook tried to force a secure BGP routing plan, where they wouldn't let weirdly routed packets make the final hop.

As it turns out, the entire world is being spied upon by man in the middle sniffers using BGP exploits, and, when fixed, proved problematic.
