We average about $43,000 gross a week! Trust me, after paying fuel ( about $1200-$1,800 per truck/wk.) I pay my drivers between 27%-32% based on their truck gross. Then you have trailer costs, maintenance is $2,200 a week. We also pay a dispatcher 3% to book loads and 2% to factor the loads. Trust me when I tell you, at the end of the month there isn't much left over!
Still congrats. You're keeping people employed, helping their families, and hopefully making enough to keep yourself afloat.
Insurance is a scam - always has been. They help a few and scam the many. Shopping around will hopefully help.
I hear you. I had a bunch of techs work for me for a bunch of years. The upside of the covid thing and downsizing has been realizing the stress is not worth it.
This is the tragedy going on with our young communists pushing that ideology. They have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA just how fucking difficult it is to start a business and operate it.
Yeah, some business owners are super rich, but most of them are super stressed and over worked even if they do make a decent living. For the rest of the busines owners, they merely bought their own job.
