Most drops had a favorable view of Mr. Gowdy. Sometimes people have to play a role and say something the host network wants to hear, in order to have a platform to discuss other things. Just like conservative talk radio hosts are forbidden from questioning 9/11 or criticizing Israel - the remainder of their content outside of "third rail" topics can still be valuable.
