You would need more data to reach the conclusion that it is the status of being vaccinated that is causative. There are very likely confounding variables that must be taken into account. For instance, it is much more likely that those who took the jab were in targeted groups (e.g. elderly) or sought it out (e.g. fat fucks). So now the groups are no longer similar and may give spurious information when compared. To resolve this you'd need age, weight, ethnicity, smoking status and comorbidity information for both groups.
