Continuation of this post...

I ran a test of the post referenced in the link this morning at the local gym and what I saw under "Available Bluetooth Devices" was a large number of what appeared to be computer hardware addresses. The number was roughly equal to the number of people in the gym.

Mixed in were 3 or 4 that were just the name of the phone or brand. Mine also appears that way but I am unvaccinated.

Now it could just be that most people's phones are only broadcasting the phone's hardware address, for some odd reason. I'm not sure if that is normal behavior or not, I never noticed.

Another test I have yet to run is whether they change periodically. Hardware addresses don't change periodically but these numbers allegedly do refresh every 8 hours or so, according to the post above.

I have a friend that I know is vaccinated, I may try it the next time I see him. If you know someone who is vaccinated and has their phone nearby, you may want to check.

Phone must be set to "visible" AFAIK.

OK, I'm just sharing some results.

I can tell you that my phone has not displayed this way, regardless of range.
