Ever wonder, this is just bait? Like yeah, personal freedom is cool and all, but at the same time a lot of people's paychecks depend on the surveillance state. So you need people to keep tabs on, I mean why call yourself an intelligence agency if you're not conducting intelligence right? Make yourself indispensable to the cause and whatnot.
