much much bigger than that...the oroville dam is the start of the California Aqueduct that feeds drinking and irrigation water to Los Angeles and the San Joaquin Valley. This has nothing to do with electricity and everything to do with making water scarce.

They are taking our water. Without water, you have two days to live.

This guy is kinda annoying but he's got a good segment (starting at 5:55) about this dam and the tremendous water loss that caused it. You can see the intake pipes sitting on open land that used to be lake bottom. first time since it was built that this has happened.

Not just a grid failure, it's forced crop failure and it eliminates drinking water
