How do these people get information legally from your private phone to do this study? Using Facebook and your phone's GPS? Anyone have thoughts on this? What are other countries doing?

Abstract Since early March 2020, the COVID-19 epidemic across the United Kingdom has led to a range of social distancing policies, which resulted in changes to mobility across different regions. An understanding of how these policies impacted travel patterns over time and at different spatial scales is important for designing effective strategies, future pandemic planning and in providing broader insights on the population geography of the country.

Crowd level data on mobile phone usage can be used as a proxy for population mobility patterns and provide a way of quantifying in near-real time the impact of social distancing measures on changes in mobility. Here we explore patterns of change in densities, domestic and international flows and co-location of Facebook users in the UK from March 2020 to March 2021.

We find substantial heterogeneities across time and region, with large changes observed compared to pre-pandemic patterns. The impacts of periods of lockdown on distances travelled and flow volumes are evident, with each showing variations, but some significant reductions in co-location rates. Clear differences in multiple metrics of mobility are seen in central London compared to the rest of the UK, with each of Scotland,

Wales and Northern Ireland showing significant deviations from England at times. Moreover, the impacts of rapid changes in rules on international travel to and from the UK are seen in substantial fluctuations in traveller volumes by destination. While questions remain about the representativeness of the Facebook data, previous studies have shown strong correspondence with census-based data and alternative mobility measures, suggesting that findings here are valuable for guiding strategies.

Glad to see you recognize this for what it is Mod99! Not sure many others do.

Sorry I'm late....

I was reading/thinking about the coming surveillance state back before the internet even came online. I wish I could remember what books I read. I know Orwell's 1984 was influential on me, but there were others as well.

Sorry I'm late....

It's all good. Still trying to get over all the fraud that was exposed at the Cyber Symposium. Incredible how the country was taken over in plain, obvious sight. We need to remove the media from this country and start anew. The corruption is now thorough.

I haven't been keeping up with the news over the last week, but I did catch a bit of the shenanigans going on at the Symposium.

I agree we need to reinvent media and kill the beast they created. I look at what society would be like (according to Nature's way) without all this man-made tech. We need to get away from the globalist ideology of central control and turn to something that reflects family values, local community and cultures, and individual freedoms and opportunities. We're currently being spoon-fed what the Enemy wants us to think about and take an interest in, and it's keeping us so busy trying to keep up with things that we can't absorb enough to know what's really going on and where it's leading us. This was all intentional. In less than 100 years they've drastically changed the landscape of human society in their favor, mostly through the media. It's used as a form of modern-day spell-casting. Anyone who remembers what life was like before the internet should be able to see how much control over our own lives we've lost. Those who were born into the internet world have no idea...

Great comment Mod99. I agree with it all. I've been traveling around the South east for 6 months trying to find an old American town to call home. IMO they no longer exist. Not only are the real estate markets rigged by someone, probably a DS globalist, but you can't find a town with a butcher, bakery and hardware stores. It's like all those warnings in the 90's about the Walmarts and Home Depots of the world destroying main street were spot on. What they didn't tell us was by destroying main street they destroyed our ability to remove ourselves from the globalist corporations which are controlled by the Globalist NWO. Sorry for the rant.
