The supreme Court redefines words which slowly and surely alters the Constitution. Think of the word "Manner". Simple enough right; the method used to accomplish something. As far as I know it makes 2 appearances in the Constitution Article 1 sec. 4 and Article 2 sec. 1. Art. 1 let's state Legislatures prescribe the "Manner" of electing Senators and Reps to Congress. Art. 2 let's State Legislatures choose the "Manner" of appointing Electors for President. The Court in the "faithless Elector" opinion from April 2020 redefined "Manner" to not only mean how Electors are appointed but also what those Electors must do after their appointment ie: they must vote as the State Legislature determines by Law passed before their appointment. Well, if you apply that same definition to Art. 1 "Manner" State Legislatures can tell Senators and Representatives how the must vote after being elected.
