First the masks came back and now stores are claiming "coin shortage". My daughter works retail and she overheard a supervisor trying to get coins from the bank. The bank told her that the Federal Reserve isn't shipping coins. Seems like they're trying to force us into credit/debit again. They didn't get me last time because I always had exact change.

I did notice if you pay in cash at walmarts self checkout it rounds down to the nearest dollar instead of giving change. Bought something for 4.98 and it gave me a dollar back from a 5.

Brother, keep playing the game in your favor. Important we do not go cashless. They hate cash as they can not follow it.

Spot on brother. Been saying that for years.

Brother been saying this also. and I had pointed out make them drop it down to even out. otherwise, I want my change and I refuse to round up in their favor.

That's interesting. Next time I go there I'll buy something small and see what happens (although my store will probably round up and tell me to go wait in the extremely long, non-moving "customer service" line. Lol)

That is surprisingly generous for Walmart.
