I think it's already being done - aided by the Evidenc_Based Decision-Making bill that was signed into law a few years ago that greatly expanded data- collection/sharing. Gowdy supporting that was my last straw for him. Of course, it passed under the radar like so much legislation that we are ignoring.

Lets face it, at this point the laws are nothing but a formality. Anyone can be screwed legally if you get someone powerful angry enough. Any measure can be taken if they justify it for domestic terrorism/national security. But at the end of the day, its a two way street and I'll leave it at that.
