Patriot, Thank you for the heads up and link.

My company does "Demand Response" programs like this where companies are paid to cut electricity usage. We do this all across the US and also in a few other countries. The programs are targeted at manufacturing plants, foundries, other facilities that are non-critical but high users of electric who can get away with being offline during peak load.

How in the EVER LOVING HELL did these critical generation facilities get into this program?!?!? WTF is ERCOT and the Texas PUC doing not regulating the third party that did this. My God heads should roll forever on this.

Patriot, my understanding is similar to your understanding, until I read this.

Sounds like coercion brother. I wonder who could be behind that? Sarcasm. Reminds me of paying hospitals money for every covid case they report.

Exactly Brother, they get paid and the people suffer, but they claim to care about you.

This is how they spend their your money.

It doesn't have to sink in. This shit has been going on a long time and will continue. Similar to the gubmint paying farmers to NOT grow crops to create a shortage. Or the myriad of tankers photographed running circles off the east coast in 74 during the "energy crisis " instead of docking and dropping badly needed gas. Nothing new under the sun.

I remember reading how the trucks were dumping fuel into the Ocean, just a few years prior we had the gas wars, where at one point you could find gas at 17 cents a gallon. Then Fake news MSM created the Porn Fear of the world will be out of oil in a few years.

Like the European brothers who are paying 10$+/gallon a gas when crude oil was dropping to epic lows last year

Patriot, I was not aware of the 10 Dollars, but had heard about 8 Dollars a Gallon. But you are correct about prices dropping last year , and why was that not passed on to the people in Europe.
