All by design. Imagine the decisions you could make while playing with others money and being guaranteed nobody would ever find out. Now imagine you spending your paycheck the way government is run. Every year they create a budget and Every year they spend billions more. The most corrupt government in the world!

Decades ago I read a book about Reasoning the Scripture with other religions. And the biggest takeaway was not to club people with facts or verses but lead them down a path by giving them thought provoking questions that are not easily answered.
Like when people insist that building 7 collapse due to fire. Statement/questions like - "There are plenty of building that catch fire all the time. Do those buildings collapse in on themselves? Are those three flats in Chicago built to better building standards that a multi storey commercial building?"

Correct but difficult to do. When people are so far in the dark of reality one figures it's quicker to give them the info than to make them think it out. Human defect I guess. I will try better at asking thought provoking questions.Cognitive dissonance is a tough thing to battle.
I spent many years in the middle of failed politics. Almost all are preventable.

No doubt but politics is evil by nature and once it infects positions like picking a General or a judge etc... it corrupts the whole organization. Garbage rolls downhill in an organization.
