interestingly enough our government not putting a lot of effort into the electric car bullshit (flat out not appropriate here, you think you can run a 10 trailer road train through the outback on electric power alone? hybrid petrol electric yes absolutely i can see the beauty in that, but full electric, no. they have been putting money into hydrogen cars tho which given that its the most common potential fuel in existence and its waste output is *WATER* ... im absolutely not inclined to believe the story of the dude that apparently invented a way to run his car on water but got offed or something something... a more recent diy which... i guess... maybe... potentially.... makes sense was some dude has apparently been able to figure out how to basically bypass the entire fuel injection system in his car and is running it by somehow running it on the *vapours* of the fuel in a smaller tank directly into the fuel injectors rather than forcing the fuel itself through the standard system and got wicked mileage... but none of that makes the green terrorists their money does it. with pretty much anything i do a thought experiment, and it works on every con the lefties have - "What would happen if you wave a wand and give them exactly what they want right now" imagine what would happen if you waved a wand and replaced every petrol powered car in australia with an electric, thats plugged into the power, but dont produce more power or upgrade the infrastructure for the now fully electric load and the lights go down immediately. on top of that, if someone decides to lock you down all they gotta do to stop you driving more than 150km is simply switch off the power.
