Direct offshoot of the Theosophical Society founded by Helena Petrovna Blavatsky. Blavatsky and her protege Alice Bailey (founder of Lucifer Trust) were inspired in part by Lord Edward Bulwer-Lytton, who published *The Coming Race*, a fictional novel about an ancient subterranean race living in a utopian society. Blavatsky and Bailey both claimed to be in touch with a group of 'ascended masters' who secretly rule the world (this idea came to be tied into the UFO movement that started in 1947). The Theosophical Society became a worldwide movement with many thousands of followers, and came to represent a driving force of esoteric insight, laying the foundation for the modern-day New Age movement. Blavatsky’s works were also embraced by Freemasonry, which was founded by occultists. Many later occult groups, including the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, where Aleister Crowley attained his occult celebrity status, were founded and run by Theosophists. Founders of the OTO were also closely allied with Blavatsky. The Thule Gesellschaft secret society in Germany that recruited Adolf Hitler and turned him into the maniacal leader of the Nazi Party was also tied to Theosophy, and was greatly inspired by Bulwer-Lytton's *The Coming Race*. Alice A. Bailey, who was a leading disciple of the Theosophist Society and married to 32rd degree Freemason Foster Bailey, founded the Lucifer Publishing Company to publish her writings in 1920. The name changed to Lucis Trust in 1922. Lucis Trust promulgated the work of an ‘Ascended Master’ who was allegedly working through Bailey. The Lucis Trust Publishing Company and their many fronts were/are carrying out the work of a Luciferian ‘master plan’ for the establishment of a permanent ‘Age of Aquarius’ and ‘New World Religion’. Through a spirit that called itself Djwhal Khul, Bailey wrote 24 books that promoted a world government she referred to as the ‘New World Order’. Lucis Trust has become a powerful institution that works on both political and occult fronts to achieve its goal. It enjoys ‘Consultative Status’ with the United Nations and has a close working relationship with that organization, including a seat at their weekly sessions, and more importantly, influence with powerful business and political leaders throughout the world. Through its founding of World Goodwill, Lucis Trust has been aggressively involved in promoting the globalist ideology. In her book *Externalization of the Hierarchy*, a section called *Steps Towards the New World Order* outlines the process for preparing humanity for this New World Order. Through her published works, it can be seen that Alice Bailey was promoting Luciferianism even more overtly than her predecessor, Blavatsky, essentially ‘externalizing’ it as the New World Religion.
