This news article is highly inflammatory. I have posted on another sub about it. Nutshell: a wife has sent photos to a journalist, of what is termed in the Navy as "mando fun" mandatory fun. Active duty is required to attend. I do not know the background about this particular event, but have made the observation, if the command sponsored this event, the proper flags would be represented. In the other sub, the missing American flag was the issue. I have also pointed out and will here, active duty is 24/7, 365/yr., they are duty bound to the orders of their chain of command. If the spouse was unhappy with the event, there are other ways to address, other than a public forum. Also; they all should be thanking God they are hiking and not dodging bullets.
