Tech's pretty advanced. I'm sure they have some portable, small AOE devices. Either to make a statement or let's say lay waste to a territory that continues to be a stronghold and they know they're not getting back. Not that it really matters if they do or not. Waco wasn't absolutely necessary, nor was Hiroshima or Nagasaki.
