This is exactly what someone would do when they fake their own death.
Patriot, I still am not sold on the suicide story. And one could also argue, who is looking for reportedly dead witnesses ? I suspect soon we will see if his death is fact or fiction.
Actually? Serious answer? They’re normally more careful and take care of that sort of thing well in advance. Just like people who kill for insurance policies, it isn’t like in the movies where they do it right before the murder. People that kill themselves, however, do often rearrange finances and contracts right up to the last minute. I still don’t think he killed him self but this does make it slightly more believable.
Normal people would, yes. Normal people don't have the ability or connections to get guards to fall asleep and have all of the video recordings from the prison disappear right as they "commit suicide". When you have a system to back you up, you don't have to take as many precautions.
