I believe President Trump was concerned for the American people and with COVID; they were pressuring him to keep the country locked down. They found his Achilles heel, concern for people. It is too bad the Trump team wasn't able to work all angles going on but the left came on strong for four years so I do agree there must have been a level of fatigue.

In reading the court documents (6Jan), I have to question either the validity of the statements or organizations like Oath Keepers and their true dynamics. The Oath Keepers appeared to have done very little in the way of vetting anyone who asked to join the group. Hell, people on here are less trusting than how it appeared for those gathering and arrested on 6 Jan!

There are many ways to do it some of those simple some of the more involved but the point is that they did it. The other point is that Trump supporters were involved also. Legitimately involved. Watching Trump supporters pretend they had absolutely nothing to do with this is one of the most disappointing things I’ve ever seen.

I thought they were on the side of truth but I guess not. They just lie to cover their own asses after bragging for weeks about what they did. After planning it openly on pro Trump sites. Now they can’t stand by what they said, they can’t stand by what they did, and they should be ashamed of themselves as people who hold themselves up as those who seek truth and personal responsibility.
