Yep, it was more rhetorical than anything. There's still plenty of things that can be done. One thing for sure, sitting on one's hands will only see matters devolve until we experience what the Russians and Ukrainians saw under Stalin. When tyranny first rears its ugly head, it never begins in a full fledged terror. Rather, it starts out 'small' and people will react measurably by disliking it, complain about it, but worst of all they will tolerate it. The next round of tyranny becomes more abusive. People are already conditioned from not really forcefully resisting when they had the chance. Tyranny soon accelerates into total madness. Mass killings are now being witnessed. People are now being rounded up never to be seen again. The people are now living in abject fear. It's way too late to turn it around. Sitting on one's hands is telling everyone 'resistance is futile'; 'give up', and 'there's no hope'.
