Article 1 sec. 4 of US Constitution grants the power to prescribe the manner of electing Senators and Representatives to the State Legislatures unless Congress by Law makes or alters such regulations.

Regulations are written by an entity granted permission to do so by Law ie: Congress lets ATF write gun regs by Law. Michigan by Law lets health and human services write pandemic regs. Well the Law of the Land lets State Legislatures write the regs for electing Congressional Sens. and Reps. If it said "State Legislatures by Law" or something to that effect then the Governors signature would be required.

This only applies to the federal Elections. State elections are covered by State Constitutions. Therefore State Legislatures should separate State and Federal regulations and even ballots just for security's sake.

This can really only be done by Legislatures controlled by one party, as divided Legislatures will probably never agree to anything. I think a majority of States now have Republican controlled Legislatures. But it is necessary, Michigan is a perfect example. Republican Legislature with a Democrat Governor.

Absolutely! Get on the phone or write an email but do something.

I wrote an email to the State Senate and Representative explaining this. I've heard them on radio interviews saying "no the gov would have to sign any changes" which is dead wrong. Also I have shared my letter to peeps who are on facebook and politically active in hopes of bringing pressure on the Legislature to do what I have suggested. Hopefully people will pick up on it in other States. I have put here and on multiple news site comment boards in my efforts. All I can ask is that you spread the word, Thank you.

Edit: Also calling local radio shows to get the word out.
