Always I refer back to the state health department guidelines which none of them have read or follow. Neither do any of them know and follow state law. Instead the fallback position is always, "It's our store policy." Notice the phrasing. It's not even the corporate policy, never mind the fact that "store policy" can't abrogate or supersede state or federal law. I have a medical exemption which according to the state guidelines you don't need proof and there are enough exemptions that anyone can claim an exemption for something as mild as anxiety over wearing a mask. These mandates are not real. They are not law. So many issues I can argue for hours. At this point only a new hire will make the mistake of approaching me.
