That reminds me... While we were talking, I was smoking a cigarette, and she complained that I couldn't smoke within 20 feet of the building. This is a by-law they introduced years ago but never usually enforce any more, and all businesses are supposed to have signs on their store-fronts stating the bylaw. I looked at the front of her building and pointed out that she didn't have the sign, and told her she could call the cops if she wanted, but I was going to continue to smoke. I told her that there were already too many bylaws that infringed on our rights and freedoms because of people like her who always complained about every little thing, so I was willing to fight it in court if I had to, and she would lose. I later got my camera and let her watch me take pictures of the front of the building in case I would need them as evidence. >I had a thought about all the immigrants. It was also mandatory that they speak either English or French. None of that applies any more. There are immigrants who have lived here for 30 years who still can't speak our language.
