I remember that one, that was a great episode and it shows how people were willing to get the jab to extend their lives but later learn that it was always intended at a price, that of sterilization of the population on earth, where the enemy simply took over the world without on shot fired or any other violence. SG1 was one of my favorite SciFi series.

Wow. I remembered anothet episode where one alien race depopulated a less developed planet by sterilizing with a vaccine, but I don't recall this episode.

I think they were related episodes.

After they sent themselves a message from the future not to contact the evil race that gave them the vax, they accidentally encountered them later on a different planet but figured out in time that they were bad uns. The diplomat dude that died saving them in that episode was her husband in the timeline of this episode. Yes I am a loser.
