The router argument is weak. Anyone in networking knows this is a shame. This guy should be fired if his department was using AZ state network equipment in criminal police work. You don't mix protected data networks with criminal investigations.
The real problem is that all these old fukkers involved in these cases don't know how technology works, and will believe things like "HIPAA information was stored on the routers"
These fughers (including board of sups) are slimy mofos paid off from the deepest part of the swamp. If the past is any guide here, they will get a wrist slap.
Let's hope for new outcomes. New prosecutions. New punishments.
