Ok, critical thinking. Given these are people who have an image to uphold, wouldn't they try and minimize it (cover it) so they didn't have a bad photo out there? How many celebs/leaders/etc can you find with right black eyes? How many people do you know who have ever had a black eye? I would assume a hidden society would need a way to convey someone is in the club and a trusted member without having a list . A photograph of someone with a nasty black eye in a public place sure seems like a way to do it.
