100% agree, and my heart goes out to every parent wrestling this behemoth. At the same time, ANYTHING that erodes our childrens' autonomy, has to be addressed with the same vehemence. We are paying far too little attention to other means of controlling our children's lives, such as data collection practices starting as early as preschool. If we don't stop this, our children's lives will be determined by data points interpreted by an arrogant few. This includes, but is not limited to, whether you child (or you as a parent)needs psychological treatment, what educational options your child have, and ultimately, the career they will be assigned - which in large part determines quality of life. These data collection practices have been supported by dems and reps alike and are legislated under the term of "evidence-based decision making." NO - it is data coillection, often intrusive, that will be used to determine life path.
