I mean. People save silver coins for the silver value all the time but saving penny's for bullion value just seems weird.
I have heard of people going around to banks and buying all the penny's and sorting through and saving the copper. I would not be surprised that there are people out there with multi ton collections.
Yeah just like in 1965.. When 25c was 25c and is now $4.69
if i took 1000$ worth of pennies and melted it and sold the copper and then bought more pennies..
... after like ten times i could retire in jail, right?
