This guy I worked with ran a paranormal ghost hunting/sighting/hosting group. Would go to supposedly haunted sites and set up equipment and stay over night. Usually bringing other "paid" guests along.
I asked did he ever get any kind of findings. He said mostly low level audio tape stuff. But he did mention when bringing newbies along, there was all sorts of weird shiet that would go down. He was exposing people to this occult crap and was being rewarded. And as you all know, the dark feeds on fear. These newbies were being indoctrinated and fed upon.
The dude was a mess. He was being tormented by his ex-wife that was determined to make him miserable. She was associated with the Dell family and had deep pockets to keep him messing around with lawyers and such. He was miserable on the job. Endlessly targeted by his manager.
The door swings both ways.
My family will not watch any paranormal TV program that conjure, entice, and call spirits to answer them. Life is for the living. Focus on this. The dead are left to rest. Anyone opening portals to the unknown is asking for trouble. I'd advise everyone not to watch this stuff. You may actually be inviting these conjurings into your own home without realizing it. In too many instances there is a demonic presence that is involved.
Here is the reason I'm saying this. Watching TV induces alpha brainwave states. The slow and receptive pattern accepts images and suggestions into consciousness less critically. In this state you may be accepting the conjuring, enticing, and calling of spirits. A state of hypnosis is induced by the alpha frequency, where you are content to just sit and continue watching. It's odd, but true that these spirits seem to have the capability of manipulating electronic devices. Your television is an electronic device. The second consideration is - Why have all these paranormal ghost hunting programs proliferated? Is there a strong presence of Satanism in Hollywood? Could it be - What better way to spread evil than through television programming? I don't have any facts to back up my thesis. I just believe that Life is for the living. Live it well. Let the dead sleep and don't disturb something that you might regret. It probably is not the one you seek.
Instead when you pray, direct your prayer directly to your mediator and savior. Ask Him to relay your heart-felt message. Only through Him your prayer is taken care of.

It's not simply a matter of video, attention to things leads toward manifestation [using new-age language]. Reading, talking, or even thinking about evil is best avoided. Although, knowledge of evil can be useful to help one avoid it. @Tewdrig
