This shoot to kill shit is getting old. The officer paused, hesitated, failed in this situation. The correct move was to disarm the morbidly obese unskilled knife bearing residential creampuff by hand, IMMEDIATELY. Yes, she may have got off a 'stab' or even sliced the officer. That would be the cost of doing business or doing your job. Next move would be to shoot to disable, not to kill. He shot at a suspect and a potential victim simultaneously, bad move imho. These are all avoidable scenarios. You just don't go shooting and worry about it later. When was the last time you heard a suspect was 'neutralized' ? They seem to all be marksman that kill everything they draw upon, not to mention the number of rounds. I have no problem with a car driving away or a fat libtard getting a stab off with paramedics on the way. Now instead of the libtard doing the killing, the 'saviour' did the killing. Who was right ? Everybody looses here. You don't want loose loose scenarios in life, thats not the proper objective. The assumption was that a 'potential knife wound' would be fatal on top of assuming it would be succesful. You failed to take into account how close the assailant was to the victim, and you now are making the assumption the wound would not be fatal, and a Officer has the right to fire if the weapon brandished is about to cause death or serious harm.
