Look up the 13th century English revolutionary Wat Tyler and the English civil war! They had no internet or any mail of any kind. Yet in a very short period of time triggered by a single seemingly insignificant event the whole nation revolted. They defeated the king and only backed down after promisies where made for reforms. Of course they where all killed when they went home. So they should have killed the king at the first opportunity and succeeded. But that was all spontaneous pessants revolting with literal pitchforks!
