The problem I see with Rhodesia and South Africa is not so much desegregation and equal rights but allowing unfit Marxist style thinkers into government.
Once you let these types into any form of government from a desk jockey to dog catcher or policeman the rot sets in. They consistently are biased toward protecting criminals and oppressing law abiding citizens.
The whites had insane idea that if they surrendered to the blacks and let them take over there would be peace. Nothing could be further from the truth. "Oh, blacks just want equality and justice". Nope. They want a get out of jail card no matter what they do and throw the book at whitey if he so much as jaywalks.
Now I see it going into fast forward here in USA.
