Trump wanted to send in the NG but the mayors and governors refused to allow them to be sent. I won’t make excuses for something Trump did or didn’t do when maybe he should’ve and I certainly won’t crucify him for something he tried to do but didn’t receive the needed cooperation. I also believe the governor of Minnesota finally worked with Trump and allowed some NG be sent in when Trump was president.
