yeh, that's too high, makes it pointless trying to build anything this year. Maybe buy shares in cement companies because they are going to rip off Biden's infrastructure plans too. It must be a local inflation thing as raw materials only fluctuate a few percent.
Your plywood is now more expensive than the UK I think, that's a first.
Not sure what's going on but don't get me started on lumber. Crappy 2x4's are now almost %7 each and you can't find Doug Fir. Time to go to the old privately lumber stores.
LL, I've been to England and there aren't a lot of trees. Where does your lumber come from?
Where does your lumber come from?
probably Norway/Sweden, it must be their primary export
tbh I doubt we use much at all compared the the US, all our housing stock is brick
Are you seeing inflation in real estate or other areas of your economy?
I built a saw Mill and can't get a job. Wood is fake and gay.
Start advertising your sawmill. I bet you could get a lot of customers in today's market if you produce a quality product. IMO we all need to go back to dealing with privately owned businesses and side step these global companies that control the market.

I saved $6 a a square foot on white oak tongue and groove flooring here. Not bad considering I needed 5000 sq. ft. Private operation in W. Pennsylvania. The product was outstanding!
