You can look at higher stock prices as currency value going lower. Our currency is being debased by the criminals that issue it. Because we're so used to using federal reserve notes, we think in terms of everything costing more, when it's really our currency being devalued. When the government wants more money, they create more of it. It's like counterfeiting on steroids. They get the benefit of spending their counterfeit currency at higher value. Later, all this counterfeit currency causes value loss. As a result, goods require more currency. Basic supply and demand.
