Youre repeating MSM talking points. The US dollar is the primary currency for trafficking, CP etc. But the owners of the dollar don't want free market money that they can't print at will to use as a control mechanism. Also bitcoin transactions are traceable for the most part. But it is still outside the Rothschild banking cartel and the swift system. It can transact with it but it is parallel. Essentially debt free money, something closer to gold and silver but in a digital form. The Fed already took gold and silver, true money, out of the currency so of course they hate bitcoin. It allows for the near instant transfer of money cheaply and easily so the banks hate it.
There is a possibility it is a proof of concept as TPTB introduce their own digital currencies and point to bitcoin as a success while introducing a new form of digital fiat that they control. China are launching a CDBC right now.
In someways bitcoin is better than gold and silver. It solves the problem of counterfeit money which is nice. Obvious down side is you need computer infrastructure.
Just be aware that when you smear it by attaching it to criminality you are repeating messages from deep state actors who ignore the fact that the government fiats are connected to far more criminality than cryptos are. Unless you define criminality as anything the deep state hates and anything they do with their fiat is virtuous.

For those that are not aware, XRP does not even have a public blockchain; all of the transactions are stored on servers owned by ripple labs and they communicate a hash value to represent its current state. Oh, and Ripple Labs owns 61% of the supply of XRP itself.

Except bitcoin has zero intrinsic value. You can't eat it, smoke it, live in it, drive it, or hang it on your wall. It is nothing but a series of ones and zeros, and at some point it will simply go out of existence, and a bunch of people who thought they were rich will have nothing.

Funny enough, the most effective currency of the people was made with sticks split down the center that had to match the other half kept by the King. It lasted over 1000 years. This is a trickier subject than a lot of people realize.

The fact it has zero intrinsic physical value makes it better at what it does. I would argue its intrinsic value is tied to its nature. It cant be easily stolen, it can't be faked. It can bypass political controls to an extent. You can carry your wealth as a 24 word mnemonic anywhere in the world and it will be safe.
Physical assets cannot do that. They can be taxed, stolen, destroyed. As long as the blockchain is secure your crypto is safe.
Silver and gold's intrinsic value are essentially arbitrary like any value they are subjective. A gold coin or a bottle of water when lost in the desert?
I still trust gold and silver over crypto due to the long historical use. I can see cryptos being the money of the future. To me it is a question of letting the government control it or networks of people outside the beast system. Hopefully, I'm not sure it will be bitcoin, there will be a crypto that we can use to sidestep the beast system. Until then stack PMs
That said i still dont fully trust cryptos as real money just yet, but they are certainly interesting as currencies
