Are you talking about Todd Shipyard in Los Angeles? I'm not sure on the details but it was something about China gaining a long term lease or ownership of some sort? Not sure how many other ports have been handed over to foreign nations or which nations but yes, there's no way this can be a good thing.

Found this article on the topic: https://amac.us/with-acquisition-of-california-port-china-broadens-influence-on-us-commerce/

So, I'm not sure who owns the location of Todd Shipyard but it seems COSCO took the port facility. Not sure where I got the idea that Todd was part of the deal.

Just looking at the front page of this site is cause for concern: https://na.coscoshipping.com/

Looks like COSCO is balls deep in USA https://na.coscoshipping.com/cosco-shipping-north-america-inc-presented-2020-hero-award-by-hudson-regional-hospital-in-new-jersey/

Huffington post takes up the issue: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/why-are-any-us-ports-owne_b_16325

Notice how vague that article was? No exact mention of who owns what terminal and port and just points to Singapore. I was actually looking for a list with all the ports and terminals and who owns which. The article doesn't mention China or COSCO (China Ocean Shipping Company) even once.

I agree Patriot, and when they are vague , I suspect they are hiding more.
