The COVID lie is terrorism. The response they have to it is extremist. The entire concept of terrorism is based on one of the weapons leftists use the most - extreme emotion (in this case, terror). The most sophisticated form of terrorism doesn't require violence, just psychology. Pretending that there are extremists and terrorists everywhere (except among themselves) gives them the excuse (not reason) to dominate the one-sided conversation with their extremist attitude. Reasoning is not allowed, and only one view is allowed -- theirs. Real conversations lead to reasoning when discussing issues, so censorship is required in order to stop it. The conversation must be one-sided, with everyone holding the same view and saying the same thing. When they see that, they know that they have won.
