Apparently, you cannot make a u-turn in the canal.
If you ever been on a big ship and going through the Sues canal or any canal for that matter you wouldn’t even think of the ship trying a u-turn. A ship will do a Williamson turn which is like a u-turn for a man overboard rescue but not while going through a canal. A ship can’t make a tight u-turn and can’t stop all its tonnage on a dime, it drops its anchor to do an emergency stop and that will not stop it quickly either.
A seal might have damaged something.
